Tucked in the centre of a rural village with fabulous walks and great cycling. I am happy to store bikes. There is a pub which does good food in the village and many others pubs and restaurants in the area. A car is recommended & parking on the road outside is free with no restrictions in a quiet village location. Barley has a shop and doctors. Cambridge is 12m away with easy P&R access, Royston 4m, Saffron Walden 8m. Kings Cross from Royston by train is 40 mins & Stansted Airport is 32km.

Thank you for your great review. You are indeed correct, Excursions can be booked in advance or whilst here if available. We go to London Theatres, Stately Homes, Exhibitions, Famous Gardens and all manner of other opportunities! Guest's best option is to either ask me what is on during their visit or look directly on the website (URL HIDDEN) I was delighted also that you chose to say how quiet the cottage is, sometimes guests do quiz me about this, as its in the centre of the village - it's lovely to have independent feedback regarding how quiet the location really is. I always think guests might think 'Well she would say it's quiet wouldn't she?!' when they ask me directly. Much better coming from a guest! Thanks again. Best wishes. Kate
