Our largest pod on our site sleeps three. With one bunk and two single beds or double bed. 360 degree views of the mountains. A really relaxing place to spend a might or two. We are twelve minutes from Westport and Connemara National Park.
This glamping pod is an ideal retreat to relax and unwind for a romantic few days or just to chill with your thoughts and guitar. The views are spectacular of all the mountain ranges. You will be cosy here even in freezing winter. It sleeps three guests with one bunk and two singles. We are just twelve minutes away from the beautiful town of Westport and fifteen minutes from the nearest beach. The mountains are right beside us and some great walks to off the beaten track places. Parking is right near the pod and there is steps up to the pod with lighting for your safety. There is no showers here yet but hopefully have them in place by mid September
The pod. The lodge when not booked by other guests. Please ask when you inquire. Surrounding areas of the small wood can be explored. We are currently building a shower and compost toilet so we hopefully will have that in place by late August/September
We like to meet and greet guests when they arrive to show them around and tell them something about the place and the area. Sometimes this is not possible as we may be in the mountains hiking, but we are reachable by mobile phone at all times. If guests would like any information before they arrive just let us know and we will do our best to accommodate them.
We have provided a chemical toilet for use. Showers and main toilet are in the lodge but only available if not occupied. We are presently building a shower toilet unit for the pod. If the lodge is occupied then the showers cannot be used. Tea and coffee supplied. Guests can help themselves to the herb garden when growing.
The WiFi doesn't reach this pod yet but we are laying a cable and will be up and running soon. But is available near the lodge.
Strictly No smoking in pod or around pod. No extinguishing cigarette butts on deck.(Don't mind you smoking just respect the surroundings you are in)
No parties or loud noises.
I have lived and walked the mountains in this area most of my life and even though I travel quite a bit something always draws me back here whether it's the colour of the mountains as they change with every bit of sun rain or snow that falls on them.
I offer guided walks to these same mountains as well as bus tours to off the beaten track places or would you like to try your luck at gold panning. We also provide airport pick up and drop off including archaeological site visits geological talks, and get to see and use traditional crafts methods from years gone by.
We also offer wine tasting, cocktail making, and outdoor activities, photography, sea shore foraging and much more.
