This home is extremely well appointed with an open, bright design. As you enter the home, the first thing you will notice is the oversized windows which allow a lot of light into the home. While the two 1st floor bedrooms each have twin beds, this seems to be common in Europe (or at least Germany) and these beds are easy to place together if the need arises. The great room (or family room/living room) is large and open with an oversized couch and large dining room table. This is a fun room to entertain in or just hang out. Upstairs you will find a master bedroom with an extra room attached for a small child or study. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a washing machine (bonus!), wifi is extremely fast. We also enjoyed the patio and back lawn, which allowed space for our kids to run around. There were six of us, my family of four and in -laws. We never felt on top of each other. Finally, the location is ideal. You should allow two days just to stay local and enjoy the walled city and incredible walking trails. Literally after walking 200 meters up the hill from this home you will find an ancient city which is very charming AND the opportunity for tasty Italian (yes, Italian) food up in their tower with terrific views (extremely reasonable to eat there also - a real find!). Walk down the hill and explore the river and covered walking bridge - only 1.6 KM away, an easy flat walk and well worth the effort. The grocery store is also very close. Finally and most importantly, we found Viola to be an extremely accommodating host. While we had no issues, Viola was available and extremely helpful. We would highly recommend this property and hope to host Viola and her family if they every visit the U.S.!
