Our house is at the foot of the San Francisco peaks (Cheshire subdivision), art and culture, parks, Snowbowl ski resort and the road to Grand Canyon National Park. You’ll love the second floor coziness, cathedral ceilings, the views of the San Fran peaks off the second floor deck with table and chairs for hot coffee and drinks and a Weber grill for barbecues -- perfect! Our second floor accommodations are good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets).
Complete restoration of upstairs -- new kitchenette, tile flooring, queen size bed in private room, lighting and awesome new redwood deck with a million dollar view -- very nice. Also a fold down futon in the living room for additional guests -- upon request. Separate entrance, plenty of parking, safe and quiet neighbor-hood and excellent location to head north to the Grand Canyon or south in to downtown Flagstaff. Snowbowl ski area is only 10 miles up the road.
The second floor has two bedrooms with one bedroom occupied. The full bathroom and partial kitchen are then shared. There is a separate entrance to the second story off of the redwood deck and french doors -- with a keyed lock and outdoor lockbox with the key. The back yard is fully fence and well behaved pets (dogs) are more than welcome.
We typically will be at home on the first floor and can help with guest needs -- including access to washer / dryer, travel directions and tips on the many things to see and do in the area. We may be able to offer transportation up to the ski area -- depending on the number of guests. We have a couple canoes that can be borrowed. Please call and visit on what we can provide.
For folks visiting from non-snow country -- know that we can get some big snows in the winter and all wheel drive cars are a very good investment! We recently had 2' of snow in Flagstaff and over 5' up at Snowbowl Ski Area (January 2017).
We request quests be mindful of their pet's behavior and the quiet neighborhood we live in. We have a fenced back yard and enjoy dogs, if your dog is an inveterate barker though, we ask that they join you on your adventures or you bring their bark collar.
