Big skies and beautiful moorland await on the doorstep of our house in Old Town, just outside the friendly and quirky town of Hebden Bridge. You'll have a big comfortable bed in a lovely quiet, bright spacious room with your own bathroom and the option of a delicious breakfast (veggie / vegan available too) or packed lunch starting from £4 pp. It's a great spot for walking, cycling and fell running, and in town you'll find an independent cinema; live music at the famous Trade Club and shops.
You'll stay in large quiet room with your own bathroom next door. There's a very comfortable king-size bed and an additional fold out double bed if you are travelling as two singles, a small cosy armchair and a table and chair if you want somewhere to work. Bath robes provided as well as tea and coffee making facilities. There's also a varied selection of books to read.
The house has been undergoing a makeover which we are nearly at the end of.
Guest have access to their bedroom and bathroom and breakfast is served in the large bright kitchen. For runners and cyclists, we are used to muddy guests (it comes with the territory) so don't be worried about that and there is an outside area where you can sit and enjoy the view and hose down muddy bikes. Guests are welcome to bring clean bikes indoors for secure storage overnight.
We are happy to help with any questions you have. We'd like to make your stay as enjoyable and hassle-free as possible.
We have a friendly black cat called Mieu.
We are a friendly and easy-going couple. Charlie works in the arts and travels around the world with his work. Rob makes ceramics, organises events and is an excellent baker and cook – the proof of which can be sampled at breakfast time if you go in for that option. We enjoy hosting people and are very happy to help with local advice, and anything that might help to make your visit go more smoothly. We both fell in love with this area a couple of years ago and decided to move here. You can have your breath taken away walking through this beautiful countryside. The people are open and friendly, and the town is full of charm and spirit with great independent shops and cafés. Come and stay in our lovely relaxed home and use it as a base to explore this very special part of the country.
