Esperamos volver a verlos!!

Emilaydys lives in central Havana about a 10-15 minute wasy walk to old Havana and super close walk to many places of interest. Her place is located on the second floor on a lively corner. There is a wrap around balcony as well as a balcony on each of the 2 rooms. The room was great, simple, clean with super high ceilings. It was fun people watching on the balcony. The Malecon is also super close. As I mentioned it's a lively area do at night you may want to bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. I am a heavy sleeper so was fine for me and I slept great! It was cool in the apt and I didn't use the ac but there was one as well as a fan. Its super close to walk to places and it was nice to be in an area that wasn't too touristy. Internet isn't that far away which was nice. All in all I would highly recommend her room. She was so nice and I will def stay here again when I return!

Emiladys and Lazaro were wonderful hosts who made sure all of our needs were taken care of and all questions were answered. They were the kind of people who will bend over backwards and look out for you when needed! Many thanks to Emiladys and Lazaro for making our trip so memorable!

Emilaydys place was very and nice and neat. The first day were treated to a proper Cuban which was delicious. her and her spouse were very hospitable. Though my friend and I only spoke minimal English, they called a friend over who spoke a little English to help us navigate the night life. The area is called "Central Havana" and it seems to be place where there is a lot going on. Cars, and trucks pass thru this area very last into the night and early morning so can here people yelling to each other down the street. If you're looking for a retreat this is not the area for you but, if you want to live like a local then this is the place for you. This AirBnB is 12 minute walk from the Malacon and the La Guarida ( the restaurant where Jay-z and Beyoncé dined) is literally around the corner from this Air BnB. Cost of dining included but make sure to ask about cost of additional items like water or beer which was offered but, I wasn't informed of the fee until my last day. Water pressure was low. Warm water worked 2/4 nights present. All in all a pretty good experience for my 1st Air BnB.

Emilaydys' house is a wonderful place to stay for your time in Havana not only for the creature comforts, but because of her attentiveness and willingness to bend over backward to ensure your stay is as fun as possible. The house is smack dab in the middle of the city: around a 15 minute walk to Old Havana/Parque Central/Paseo del Prado, a 5 minute walk to the Malecón, and 20 minutes to Vedado. Emilaydys lives in the house although the two guest rooms equipped with a queen-sized bed, brand new air conditioner units, and mini-fridges are down a separate hall so she is present every day to welcome you upon "check-in" and available for any doubt or question you have. After "check-in", you will have your own key to come and go as you please. Additionally, the kitchen and living room are available for guest use around the clock. The home is absolutely spotless, bathrooms have hot water, and while the second-story home is on the corner of a small thoroughfare, the guest room balconies look out onto a quieter street so road noise at night is not an issue whatsoever. Brand new towels, soap, and shampoo were provided although it is a big help if we as tourists continue to replenish the stock by bringing toothpaste, soap, shaving cream, etc. from abroad and leaving it for the next guests. I can't say enough how generous and thoughtful Emilaydys is: upon arriving, she gladly walked me around Havana for about a couple hours orienting me in the city and giving tips along the way. She is more than happy to put you in contact with people to make any purchases (cigars, rum, taxi/car service in the city or even to far-flung cities across the island) without getting gouged as a tourist. While Emilaydys' home is new to AirBNB and as of yet does not have many reviews, she has rented for quite some time and is familiar with and willing to accommodate whatever needs arise while traveling abroad. I really lucked out by randomly picking this casa privada to stay at and hope others get to also enjoy the hospitality!
