The apartment is situated in the west side of Reykjavik, within walking distance to the center of town, close to the shore and with good transportation possibilities.
The neighborhood is quiet but vivid, with an warm outdoor swimming pool just around the corner, one of the city's most popular coffee-houses, good grocery shops (f.ex. a fish shop and delicacies shopping) and very nice outdoor opportunities along the sea side.
It's a family friendly 70m² home with a small kitchen, a good bedroom for two, a dining/ living room with a dining/working table, futon sofa-bed for one grown up or two children.
It is a bright appartement with bedroom and living room views into the rather big garden with some nice trees, a green house and a park or playground on the other side of the fence. Guests are welcome to use the garden as they like, or to take a shortcut through a small opening in the fence.
Free parking is at the door and buses going down town and to BSI Bus Terminal (Flybus) stop just around the corner.
Our guests have acess to a parking at the house, to the garden if they wish to sit or play outside. They have acess to internet and to the laundry room (a washing, drying + ironing). If they need anything we are happy to help.
We interact with our guest when they arrive and leave. Also any time they can send request over Airbnb and we answer quicly. They are also welcom at any time to knock on the door or ring the bell upstarirs if they need some advice or extras.
Children are welcome!
If you are travelling with children, we can arrange for your baby to sleep in the bedroom / have one or two children sleep on the futon sofa-bed in the living room.
First and foremost we like our guests to feel comfortable and have them enjoying the surroundings.
If they like to have visitors for lunch or dinner they are welcome, but not parties into the night.
This is a quiet living area for families, many of them with children. There is a small offical playground or park conected to our garden where they often like to play.
We like our guest to be easy going but respectful and taking care as the interiors of the flat are our personal belongings. We would love if they are staying longer that they would water the plants in the living room and bring out and sort the garbage according to the reycling rules of Reykjavík.
Important is to have good air in the flat, preferably to keep the windows with a small opening - unless ofcourse in bad weather. The central heating can then be turned up or down at your convenience - best though to have the radiators on 2,5 on the average and they will regulate the heating.
We are non smokers and don´t like people smoking inside. Outside we have ashtrays at the door or in the garden if you like.
