I was in town for a two day show at St. Vitus , and Max's place was not even a block away, which was fantastic. The apt has 4 bedrooms with 1-2 people per, which can make bathroom/kitchen use interesting, but all the tenets staying over the same time frame were nice, quiet and accommodating to other guests. The room, shower and kitchen were clean and odor free. I found no evidence of bugs at all. They have cleaning people in every day to clean up rooms from guests that left. The AC worked great, and the bed (mattress) made sleeping easy. The only issue was the shower "handle" for working the water seemed damaged and getting hot water out of it a bit of a struggle. Parking is on the street, with no meters, which for me was fine. My car was on the streets of Brooklyn for two days and i had no problems with theft or damage. When I first arrived I had to park down the block, but a little later a spot opened up right across the street, so i moved to it and the car stayed there for the duration. The walk to the rooms from the street was down some stairs, thru a tunnel and back up 2 flights of stairs, so keep that in mind if this would be a struggle for you. The area is rather quiet for NYC and the neighborhood is an easy going melting pot that has any ammenity you would require, food, beer etc. Overall, I was happy with the my stay and and for the price, cannot be beat. Will definitely stay there next year when I come back for NYDF6!!
