This rustic Tahoe A-frame lodge built in the 1920's on the edge of Wildcat Canyon has a cozy living room with gas stove and an ample, spacious bedroom loft - it is not merely a private room! It is ideal for travelers, artists, solo adventurers, or couples/small families seeking a quiet, serene getaway not far from the bustle of Berkeley, Oakland, and San Francisco. Pets are welcome.
The Bay Area is exciting, hectic, and very fast paced -- and this home built as a hunter's lodge gazes out into the tranquil rural past of the Berkeley Hills. Raptors hunt in the sky overhead, oak and cedar trees frame the windows, and if you listen you'll hear the owls calling to one another at night. After a short walk in the opposite direction, you'll see the Bay and San Francisco sparkling below you. Highway 80 is just down the hill and BART is easy to reach. Hiking is excellent around here. This region is as peaceful as it gets in the Bay Area!
Guests have exclusive use of upstairs loft and downstairs living room. Kitchen and bathroom are shared, but lightly. There is a tenant living in back of house.
I will always be a within reach by mobile phone and available to come by if any issues arise.
