18th century cottage in Scarborough. Centrally located, being less than a mile from Scarborough Railway Station and town centre. In walking distance of all the tourist attractions; Scarborough Spa on the South Bay, Stephen Joseph Theatre, Alpamare Waterpark, Scarborough Open Air Theatre and Peasholm Park on the North Bay. Within the immediate area there is a Sainsbury’s Superstore, many small shops, eateries and take-aways; and some lovely old characterful pubs, which regularly host live bands.
Lounge/dining area, which includes 40" T.V, with built-in DVD player.
Fully equipped kitchen, incorporating small fridge/freezer, washer/dryer and microwave.
Full bathroom, with bath having shower and T.V, adding a little bit of luxury!
Bedroom, with double bed, triple wardrobe and wall-mounted T.V. The bedroom is open-plan, so the cottage is ideally suited to a couple, but there is a bed-settee, which can be made up on request.
This charming cottage has the great advantage of having a small raised garden, which is perfect for enjoying outside eating and drinking, and it catches the sun all day, ( if it is out of course!)
The fabulous log burner is the centre-piece of this home, making it a wonderfully, warm and cosy place for a short break away!
Whenever possible, I will greet all guests who plan to arrive at the check-in time of 3 p.m. I will give you a quick show around and try to answer any questions that you may have. Alternatively, if you are arriving at a later time or are unsure of what time you will arrive, you can opt for self check-in; this will allow you more flexibility. You will let yourselves in by entering a PIN into the Smart Lock; your PIN will be given to you a few days before arrival and it will be active throughout your stay. Myself or my husband will be available at most times of the day or evening to offer any help or assistance needed. We live just two miles from the cottage, so any problems and we are only a few minutes away!
There is no private parking area, but there is on-street parking in a parking lane, right outside the front door. There are no restrictions and it is almost always possible to get a space.
Just to clarify why our cottage is unsuitable for toddlers and children:
The cottage is open-plan and has an open staircase and a log burner. There are also steep steps leading up to a small garden. For safety reasons, we do not host children. However, you are more than welcome to stay with an infant, (if is not mobile!) providing you bring a travel cot with you.
Show consideration to our neighbors; no loud music or late night noise, inside or outside.
No unauthorized overnight guests.
