I had a horrible experience and ended up leaving a day early because of the owner. I ended up leaving early because I was so dissatisfied with my experience. The owner planned and attended visits during my stay. She said she was coming at 12 and ended up coming at 11am. She came with an interior decorator and stayed for two hours during my paid stay. I had somewhere to be and I didn't want to take a shower while they were here. This made me late to my appointment. Why would she pick up laundry during my stay and schedule an interior decorator for 2 hours while I'm paying? This was rude. She also said that she was going to pick up laundry on Tuesday and come back Wednesday for the interior decorator. This was totally unacceptable. She also stated that I broke the handle if the washer/dryer. It was my first day and I came with a week worth of clothes. I'm totally not please with my experience and it's really making me rethink the whole Air Bnb experience. I tried to change my request or booking to leave a day earlier. She denied my request twice. Even after I explained my situation. She said that I didn't want a refund. I never said I didn't want a refund for the day in which I wasn't staying. This experience has ruined my vacation and has jaded my Air Bnb experience. *Sissy is rude and will come visit you while you are staying. *The house is extremely cold. She actually changed the thermostat to low when she came with the interior decorator. She said that someone must have bumped into it. How can you bump in to a thermostat? She changed it to low without me knowing. Plus, even with it on, it was very cold in the home. *The bathroom had wet towels *The home is poorly decorated for the cash you are spending. *She allows you to insta-book but then she will come to spy or check on you during the stay. *She denied my request for a refund twice, even thou I left a day early. *Horrible HOST EVER!
Landlord's life would be better if I have NOT met this kind of dishonesty extremist guest who would say anything do anything BLINDLY just to get a penny. My house is extremely spacious with two floors, you hardly notice each other if you are upstairs, and most my staying were in the back garden (outside of the house) for a rear extension designing, meanwhile, bathroom, toilet and bedrooms are all in upstairs; Funny, How did I stop his shower? ! Before his booking, this guest wrote to me to check whether I have a washing machine; Right after he checked in, he texted me why he could not open the washing machine door right after his arrival (his trying to open the door must be in the middle of washing mashine working time--I put the changed beddings to wask ). How can he say he was insta-book and no needs of washing machine?! Glad I kept all the conversation between us. Who is real rude by calling/texting landlord in the middle night 12am?! 5 clean dry towels supplied for two guests, and an extra one hung in bathroom, all of them were kept in the wardroom for 24 hrs, it is impossible to be damp, how can be wet?! The thermostat is in the hallway for everyone to reset freely, and my house was still 28 degree 5 hrs after they checked out. How can he say the house is cold?! No point to talk with this guest because he would accuse you of racist against 'color' besides swearings ... even you just focus on facts which are supported by evidence. Again, wish no more dishonesty extremist guest who would say anything do anything BLINDLY just to get a penny, or to escape his liability from the damages they caused.
In short a very poorly maintained apartment in an excellent location. I will never understand why this apartment is priced at over $200/day. For the level of maintenance, it is worth no more than $75. In my opinion there is major work required - cleaning, organizing, changing of appliances, tiles and many more. Has a good washer/drier
