We're specializing in hosting for baseball season. (Although all are welcome!) Leaving the comfort of your home doesn't mean you have to leave comfort! Enjoy your stay at Covered Bridge Stables!
The home isn't visible from the road & with a 2,000' long driveway & the home sitting on a hill, you have a breathtaking view and complete privacy. With over 3,500 sq ft of living & patio space, there's room to stretch out and relax.
Star gaze while soaking in the hot tub off master bedroom! Watch the sun set while grilling or making s'mores over a fire on the patio, watch deer graze all around you while bald eagles soar overhead. Roam the many trails that meander through the property. The kids will love splashing around in the creek or the pond and kayaks will be available to paddle around the island or cruise up and down Charlotte Creek. (Creek & pond levels may vary according to winter snow pack & summer rain or lack thereof. Nature is out of our control) Two TV's available, one in great room and one in master, hundreds of channels to choose from.
Note: two dogs, Boxer (Cooper) & Boston Terrier (Boston) live on the property as well as two cats (they mainly stay down at Stables). They are very friendly but guests most likely won't see them.
You'll have access to the main level & upper level of the home as well as front patio and back deck with hot tub. Unless previously arranged, guests will not have access to the lower level, attic space or garage. Feel free to roam the property, explore the old railroad bed, use the little bridge to access the island.
Love horses? Feel free to watch our horses graze, being worked with in or around arena, and peek into stables to see where they eat & sleep. No guest access upstairs in stable, in hay loft or in tack room or feed room. Additionally, please do not open any stall doors or gates.
Potential renters should know that we have a working stable, complete with horses, 88 acres, beautiful lawns and professional designed flower gardens. These require up keep. Our goal is to give you as much privacy as possible. We make every effort to do yard work while you're away. However the property requires almost daily maintenance to look like it does. You may see us mowing, dead heading flowers, planting, or pulling weeds...we won't bother you though & will be gone as soon as possible!
You will be greeted by a welcome basket with useful items for you to enjoy as well as our Home Guide Book! We want to make your stay as comfortable & carefree as possible. We're happy to answer any questions.
One thing we'd like guests to know is that we are on a private well. The water is perfectly safe to drink, bathe in or do laundry. However there are times it will have a 'sulfur' smell. We do treat for this using several filtration systems. If the smell is present while showering for example, YOU will NOT smell!! Neither will any laundered clothes. The fridge dispenses filtered water and we keep a Britta on hand as well.
All we ask is that you behave in our home as you'd want us to behave in yours. Enjoy!
