The sea view was better than we had expected, simply astonishing. The family that runs the place was super nice. When we arrived, the AC was ready for us. The mother offered delicious Japanese food at a very reasonable price. When we left, it was a bit rainy. The bus stop is just one minute away, however, the father insisted to give us a ride to the train station. We really appreciated it. We would definitely consider to revisit the place in the future. It is quiet, beautiful, relaxing and even nurturing. The only reminder is for those who might have problem carrying heavy baggage up several floors.
"Fukuju" was a great place to stay for a night during our trip to Ise and the Kii Peninsula. The hosts were very welcoming and excited to have us. The bath area was modestly sized but comfortable, presenting a view of the sea. Breakfast was available for an extra charge, and was very immaculately presented and delicious. The hotel was also very close to the trailhead for Izawa Shrine, the ichonomiya for Shima. Wifi was available in the lobby and up to the second floor, but the signal did not reach the third floor.
