Nice cosy old Bergen house, in the heart of the city.
Short walk to the train station, so ideal for backpackers / interrailers. Also a short walk in the week-ends to experience the Bergen nightlife.
Very central to experience the Bergen art scene, or to attend a concert at Grieg Hallen.
Bryggen is also a short walk away, either through narrow alleys that offer sights only the locals know about, or via Lille Lungegårdsvann and Torgalmenningen, which always bustles with city life.
Renting out my spare bedroom which has a 1,40m bed.
NB! New bed August 2017 as guest reviews mentioned the old one was a bit small.
I also have a sleeping couch in the living room, so a totall of 4 guests can stay at the same time, but be aware that the sleeping couch is not in a private room.
Breakfast is not included per se, as it is not always possible for me to provide that service, but a simple snack should be possible to arrange for most of the time. Otherwise, there are several nice eating places nearby, and a grocery store and the possibility to prepare food in the kitchen.
Visitors have access to the main livingroom, kitchen, bathroom. Also a washing machine and tumble drier availiable, so if you let me know you need to wash something that can be fixed.
If you want to play a board game, have a look around town or play the piano, I will try to be accomodating in doing that, but I can unfortunately not guarantee that I am availiable :)
I am however living in the house myself, and will be there to answer most things you would like to know during your stay.
The house is located in the city centre and in the week-ends there will inevitably be a bit of city sounds. In the weekends music is played in the clubs, but it has never disturbed my sleep :) Should you require total peace and quiet in the weekends, there could be better places to stay ;) Week days on the other hand is usually suprisingly calm and quiet for such a central location.
Even though the house is listed for "no pets", I have a dog visiting sometimes (not when having AirBNB visitors though), so for people who are very allergic to dogs this should be noted. If you would like to bring a dog, this could be doable, but special rules will have to be arranged for that. Just contact me and we can work something out.
Please take of shoes in first floor hall.
