As first time hosts we are offering "Heavenly Home Hawaii" at a great price while dialing in the needs and wants of the discerning vacationer. As with any start, it is best to set the expectations right or even better: try to beat your expectations and hopefully get a review with an afterglow of Aloha.
So here we go:
When you land in Kona, you are about a 15 to 20 minute drive away from Heavenly Home. First you will drive through desolate lava. Don't worry. As you start heading up the hills of Hualalai Volcano, vegetation is starting to sprout. You will pass Costco along the way and a few possibilities to grab a bite (Lotus Cafe recommended).
It is said that the best elevation to reside in Hawaii is at 1000 feet above Kona. Voila! What we have here is a choice location in the so called golden belt where temperature and moisture are most agreeable. At this climate, plants and people spring into a natural sense of well-being. The famous Kona Coffee, Lilikoi, Avocados, Mangos and Oranges thrive at this elevation as well.
You could hang out at Heavenly Home for your entire stay. Or you can let it serve you as a fancy base camp for your exploration of beaches, villages and adventure. Down Town Kona and the famous swim start of Ironman are only about 4 miles away.
This house was architect designed and built in 2003. The finishing touches of this home may not fully match the immaculate perfection of a Four Seasons Hotel. You may hear cows next door, parrots squawking overhead on their morning and evening flights to and from the ocean, some distant cars depending on the wind and hopefully your own laughter and conversations.
The design of the home offers the simple pleasure of indoor and outdoor living sprinkled in with some elements of luxury. You will enjoy gourmet cooking with a Wolf range, top of the line commercial grade Everest Refrigerator and a super silent Bosch dishwasher. There is a TV in every room and wifi all the way up to the Birds' Nest.
In bedroom #1 you can comfortably sit up in bed with the push of a button. There is an adjoining bathroom with a shower, jetted tub and a separate toilet. The main bedroom has its own private lanai. The smaller of the two bedrooms has access to the main lanai. The upstairs Birds' Nest offers open air living with stunning views. At the Bird's nest you will find one of the single beds. This is for the more outdoorsy type since the lack of windows make for true indoor/outdoor living atmosphere.
The property sits on one lush acre and has a private gate. There is a one acre property in the front and in the back of the property plus a lot of open space left and right. The design of the landscaping and the lay out of the neighborhood is unique. You do not see any roof lines of other houses. However: you can see the top of Hualalai Volcano to the East as well as white water splashing the shoreline on a high surf day.
This is a truly unique home. Be the first one to see for yourself and to enjoy!
Guests may use the pool and the hot tub, the pool side Webber Grill, the lawn to the north of the house including gazebo with fire place. Guests have one parking space (inquire about a second parking space if necessary). Please stay away from the little Ohana / Guest House in the back of the property.
"Heavenly Home Hawaii" has its own entrance encompassing the upper 2 floors of a 3 story house. You may be all by your lonesome or there may be guests or friends staying in the separate downstairs and/or in the separate ohana (guest house) which may also be available upon request. Wanna invite additional friends? Just inquire.
At this time there is a Marine Biologist staying at the Ohana (guest house). Please respect the privacy of the guest house and do not walk around the Ohana. The Marine Biologist will also enter through the gate and will park in front of the Ohana backside of the house. It is OK to waive and say "Aloha".
Tuesday afternoon a friendly landscaping crew comes in. Wednesday morning the pool will be serviced which can take about 30 minutes plus or minus.
