An independent garden room, in a rural setting, 15 minutes by car from the Essex coastal town of Clacton-on-Sea.
Train station 20 mins walk away with direct link to London.
5 or 10 minute walk to bus stops for buses to Clacton and Colchester.
- Suitable for pre-toddlers only, due to garden pond.
- Guests are welcome to stay on any day of the week, but due to work, I am unable to accept arrivals on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays. We are flexible about checking in times as a great deal of our guests are dependent on ferry arrival times, and we fully understand this-my husband works at the port.
- We have a pet pig who roams freely in the garden, free range hens and a cockerel and we keep bees at the furthest end of the garden. We also have two very friendly dogs- a Basset Fauve de Bretagne and Irish terrier- and a cat. We shut our hens and cockerels up at night as the dawn chorus starts early in summer, but you may still hear muffled crowing.
In addition to our domestic pets, we also have a resident frog in the pond near the cabin, and randomly, usually late spring/summer, he can be very vocal, day and night.
- Ample parking on our drive at the front of the house. If guests park in front of our garage, parallel to our trailer, they are guaranteed easy access on and off the drive at all times.
We do have wifi, but despite our best efforts, it is far from reliable in the cabin. If wifi is essential, we cannot guarantee access. There is seating in the garden, close to the house which will give access to the internet, but obviously this is dependent on fine weather.
