Form, function and style in the heart of Ilfracombe! I've created this space with my own travelling needs in mind. It's uniquely located to get the max from this extraordinary town - nestling among the best restaurants, the oldest pubs in Ilfracombe, and 2 mins from the Harbour front. Whilst I'm not offering breakfast, the best fry-up is 30 seconds away and there's a huge number of coffee shops + cafes to choose from...
The guest area takes up most of the ground floor - given the elevation over street level, there's plenty of light, but little sound as we're set back from the fray.
It's not condusive to wheelchair access.
I'm new to 'Combe', but already emerged in its rich cultural mix of art, music, sea-life, food + festivals. With the South West Coast Path right on my doorstep, I'm also perfectly placed to explore the many glorious surrounding walks - as an intrepid walker myself, I'm happy to provide maps and guidance for all levels of walkers.
Once you've parked, you won't need a car - the local shop is 30 seconds away for essentials and many of the best eateries in town are within spitting distance and open all year round! I can also help to get bookings for the most popular places and recommend lesser known attractions ;)
Ilfracombe is increasingly famed for it's burgeoning art scene. Damien Hirst's 60' bronze statue 'Verity', erected in 2013 is a major draw for visitors all year round; as is his gallery and restaurant on the quayside (all within 3 mins walk). The entire town is dotted with galleries and artists' studios, spotlighted by the annual Ilfracombe Art Trail ((URL HIDDEN) in May and the year-round North Devon Art Trek ((URL HIDDEN) attracting visitors from around the world.
Ilfracombe is also perfectly located for the thousands of walkers taking in the South West Coast Path ((URL HIDDEN) all year round.
Fore Street is snugly located in the heart of this richly diverse town - and no.26 is your home from home from which to enjoy it at first hand!
Well behaved dogs are welcome free of charge! Although a £5 contribution to cleaning costs is asked if any major dawgie mess!
No pets on beds or any furniture
Hose pipe + towels provided
Please bring all other creature comforts!
