The valley and parks are filled with a variety of trees. The hills on either side of the valley provide more contrast. We see the changing seasons and days from our wonderful site on the hill. It is a great place also, to see rainbows! To the west is the snow capped Tararua Ranges in winter, and the main road north or south, yet it is quiet here, no traffic noise, instead we often hear the native Tui and see the waxeyes and other birds gathering food or using their unique calls. To the east are the beaches of Castlepoint and Riversdale. There are many golf courses within the region, some rural and others on the outskirts of Masterton. One is less than five minutes walk away. Our personal garden space is an added bonus. Gem, our labradoodle especially loves the lawn.
Guests' wing is one end of the house, with separate outside entry and own secure parking space off the street. Separate toilet and bathroom facilities. The laundry with washing machine is also at that end of the house.
