Stunningly situated next to the sea (no road in front), very peaceful, amazing views. Newly renovated and decorated. This listing is for one bedroom ( 2 single beds). The other bedroom (double bed) is listed separately (http://abnb.me/EVmg/AvYBQ3QrtF.) The whole house can also be booked (http://abnb.me/EVmg/OAq6GdaUpF). The bathroom is shared and has bath and shower. 'Do it yourself' breakfast (tea, coffee, cereal, toast). Use of kitchen, dining, lounge space. Wood burning stoves.
In my biased opinion this house has the best views in Shieldaig (and possibly Scotland!). South west facing...lots of sunshine and amazing sunsets. Great place for watching sea eagles. Often seals and otters too. Beautiful, newly renovated, home. Sheep nibbled grass then sea. Peaceful and private. Small stream by side with bridge. Located at one end of the village...easy walk to restaurant, pub, shop and cafe.
Guests have access to large, newly extended, kitchen, living, dining room with more than 180 degree views. This space is shared with occupants of the other listed double room and, occasionally, the host who sleeps in the studio building. Beautiful shared (not en-suite) bathroom with shower and bath on the ground floor. Large porch and inner lobby (with other drying space). Guests are free to wander around the grounds with lovely stream and bridge. Fire pit and barbecue space and outside seats. Please note that there is no road in front of the house...access is via a path and over a bridge....150 metres from car parking. Host and wheelbarrow will assist with luggage!
I am generally available to advise and facilitate experiences for guests.....boat trips, fishing, sea kayaking, mountaineering etc. I am a qualified and experienced teacher of the Alexander Technique and can be booked for private or small group lessons if requested. My specialism is to help people with their walking, running (qualified 'Art of Running' instructor) and cycling. I also help people with bad backs! You are also welcome to visit my studio (over the stream) where I paint and create driftwood artefacts.
Photos of the interior will appear when they have been redecorated and finished.....soon I hope! I am not taking guests until April. People say I have good taste!
