One bedroom apartment on horse/sheep farm in Hollis, Maine. View of farm from living room, bedroom on second floor up very steep farm stairs. One Queen comfy bed. There is a day bed in the living room. A well behaved dog is welcome. 21 miles from Portland and Kennebunkport.
Common sense decency: Wash your own dishes and be friendly. There is no smoking in the apartment or in the barn. If you smoke, smoke outside and please dispose of the butts.
Please do not go into the field unless you are with someone from Lily Brook Farm. You may enter the barn through the first gate, and visit the horses and sheep, but please don't go through the gate into where the animals are. This is for your protection and the animals. Most likely there will be hay on the barn floor from the hay bales, please don't feed the animals hay or anything else. I am around most the time so if you would like to visit the animals let me know. Thanks and the animals thank you!
Take with you what you bring in. For example, baby diapers and lobster shells. Actually, as far as garbage goes the only two things you have to take with you are baby diapers and lobster shells! They fall in the same category! Thank you very much. The garbage guy only comes once a week and those two things can get pretty rank.
