Welcome to our Avila Beach condo. This luxury unit offers a relaxing and comfy getaway, nestled in the warm, sunny beach community of Avila. Our two story condo is only steps from the beach, and is situated in a private, gated complex. This two bedroom condo can comfortably sleep 5, but best accommodates two couples or one family. Avila has delightful oceanfront restaurants, cafes, bars, a small market, and a variety of shops. Experience California Central Coast's best kept secret.
Parking- Parking within the gated area is only allowed in the garage. Other parking must be on the street or in a public parking lot. Please also note that the driveway located along the side of our condo straight down to the Avila Market is used for commercial trucks and should not be used for parking, skateboarding, riding of bikes or other wheeled toys.
Trash and Recycling- Trash day is on Thursday on 1st Street, just outside the security car gate. If you are occupying the condo that Wednesday night, it would be greatly appreciated if you rolled out the trash container(s) found in the garage on Wednesday night, then roll it back into the garage Thursday after collection. If that is not possible, the owners, site managers, or our housekeeping service will handle what trash you might leave in the garage trash container. Excessive trash and special handling of trash will result in a $50 fee taken from security deposit.
Departure Time- We expect the condo to be left in an orderly fashion by 11:00am and that the departure list given to you at check in be followed. Late check out requests must be made prior to the day of departure. Although we do have a cleaning service, it is expected that the guest will leave the condo in a reasonable condition.
I am a retired middle school science teacher who lived in Truckee, California for over 35 years. I have recently moved to Nipomo, a quiet little town along California's Central Coast. For over 15 years I have been property managing my own condo in San Jose del Cabo and recently my daughter's beach condo in sunny Avila Beach.
Avila Beach is the secret gem of the Central Coast. It has its own "microclimate" that make it the sunniest and warmest beach in the area. Our two bedroom condo offers ocean views, large decks (one off the main living area, and the other a rooftop deck with panoramic views of the entire area). Guests can enjoy walks on the beach, fine dining, wine tasting, biking, golfing, hiking, kayaking, surfing, and paddle boarding all within a short drive. There is a seasonal farmer's market and rental shops for whatever activity you wish to enjoy. It is a quaint town situated at the mouth of the San Luis River. A bike trail follows this river along a sycamore lined bike path, taking you near the canyon's golf coarse and nearby hot springs. There is a beautiful spa resort in the canyon with redwood tubs built into the hillside for the public's use. Avila is an amazing destination.
My other property that I manage is literally on the beach in San Jose del Cabo overlooking the beautiful Costa Azul. For so many reasons I prefer Mexico, and especially this area of Cabo to vacation and relax. The mature La Jolla complex is beautifully landscaped with palms, pools, fountains, and pounding surf. I am a retired middle school science teacher. I love nothing more than to look out from my deck and see grey whales breaching, sea turtles hatching directly on my beach front, or rays hovering above the water. I love walks along the beach, collecting sea glass, pieces of coral, and tiny shells. I am proud of how I have decorated and stocked my condo so that my guest would feel at home and instantly relax. I have spent my weeks in Cabo with and without a car, sometimes preferring the local means of transportation, or simply walking into town and strolling along the beach. I surfed in my day, but now take daily swims in the ocean catching waves, paddle boarding, or snorkeling. My condo has snorkel gear, ice chests, beach umbrellas, beach towels, pool noodles, a boogie board... you need not lug all of that down here. I love how easy it is for me to jump on a plane, land in under 4 hours, and be in my condo 20 minutes from leaving the airport. I hope to hear from you. I know you will love my slice of paradise.
I hope this little intro about myself and my properties gives you an idea of who I am and why I love doing what I am doing. I am so very lucky to be able to not only manage these two unique properties, but stay as a guest and enjoy them as well. BTW, I'm the second from the left, enjoying a night out at the marina (restaurant The Container) in San Jose del Cabo with my husband and close friends.
I hope to hear from you soon! Nancy
