And welcome to our *slightly* unfinished flat, in the heart of Sea Point. We are two architects, self-renovating our home. The price is low because there are still a few finishing touches, but the shower works and bed has clean sheets...
The flat is walking distance from the Sea Point Promenade, a myriad of restaurants and we'll give you plenty of local recommendations! We'll even let you borrow our bikes to get around the area.
If you're looking for a 'homey' stay, then come live with us!
We bought this flat in a sorry state, and are in the process of renovating it ourselves.
It has a lovely wooden floors, high ceilings and outside balconies.
While the spare room you'll be staying in, is a little small - you are more than welcome to make use of the lounge, dining room, kitchen and balcony to relax in!
We live on Sea Point main road, which is a 'high street' and public transport route. As such, it can get noisy at times, but your room is tucked away at the back and so is less noisy at night.
Andrew works from home and I (Claire) work from home a few days a week, and am around most evenings.
We are super passionate about our city and are willing to help as and when necessary. We'll happily answer questions about site seeing, or offer suggestions for hikes, out door activities and tourist attractions!
Please just bare in mind, that Andrew does run a business from home - so even though he is present, please be respectful of his time and work.
We do not have off street parking to offer you, but there is plenty parking on the street in the area, and it is safe to park on the street.
However DO NOT leave any valuables in the car, on the seats or in the boot. Make sure your car is empty and locked before leaving it.
- Smoking allowed on the balconies
How do you do, across the internet?
I'm delighted to have bumped into you here!
My husband and I use Air BnB to both host travellers in our Sea Point flat, and to connect with like minded hosts when we get to travel.
We are both architects and enjoy exploring new cities and places in search of new ideas, inspiration and to extend our frames of reference.
We label ourselves 'makers'; constantly designing and creating to better our lives as well as those of others.
Between the two of us, we garden, build furniture, sew, draw, paint, and design sensitive spaces.
We are the 'early to bed, early to rise' type, respectful of other's privacy and space. We're pretty neat, make a mean boboti (a traditional South Africa dish) and delicious brownies.
We can't wait to meet you!
