My family also live in the house. But the family area is far enough to keep the privacy and close enough to help guests anytime.
We respect our guests privacy but at the same time we are always open to connect with guests. We sometimes have meals together, do the barbecue when the weather's nice, go for a walk together when the guests are up for it.
My father is a calligraphist and all the guests are welcome to give it a go for calligraphy practice.

Anna was a very hospitable host. Her mom and her were very kind to give me a pick-up ride from the Incheon airport and a drop-off ride back to the airport early in the morning. The house is a bit isolated from the airport area, which adds to the traditional Korean house-stay experience. I like that Anna is very intentional in giving her guests a restful, peaceful stay at her house.

We were picked up promptly and had a short ride to the Hanok. The host family was very kind and showed us to our very comfortable room. The evening korean meal was delicious and we had a great night's sleep. Breakfast was simple and satisfying and we enjoyed a quick morning walk around the area. It was a great stay with a very nice family. We highly recommend this experience!

I stayed in Korea for 1.5 wks and have stayed in 4 different locations, I've got to say that my stay at Hanok was the best experience out of my Korea trip! From the historical home, the peaceful/serene environment, the best Korean food I had on my trip, to the great company. Anna's family is so hospitable! I felt so comfortable at their home and I feel like they've gone out of their way for me. I think that everyone making a visit to Korea should definitely stay here!

I was transiting through Korea for one night and stayed at Ogamul guest house. It's such a cute cozy traditional historical Korean house you will feel like your in Korean drama. With fire heated floorings, several dozen kimchi pots in the backyard, organic home made banchan, along side the rice paddies… Eventhough I was just transiting through Incheon airport stay at Ogamul made me feel I got a little taste of Korean countryside. And you've got stable wifi, a common room stocked with tea, spicy ramen noodles, snacks, books and games. It's a bit inconvenient because the shower's in a clean outhouse but that's another beauty of staying at Ogamul. Anna and her family are lovely. She picked me up and dropped me off at the airport too for a few extra bucks! You'll feel like you've come home to Ogamul because it's so cozy and cute.

A unique and peaceful experience, "Anna" and her family were most gracious hosts. Anna's English is exemplary, and she is eager to share beautiful stories about the home she obviously loves, its history, and its amenities. World traveled, Anna knows when to give a guest some space and when to engage in easy, interesting conversation. I felt very safe walking alone in the area - a great way to catch a worthwhile glimpse of native rural life with city life just beyond. The remarkable abode and setting are a family legacy that has garnered recent heartfelt attention. Her father and mother are bringing the place back to its glory, with Anna’s guest house as a complementary effort. Her father is artistically gifted, from the flowing pattern of his garden plantings and calligraphy to his beautiful carpentry and stonework restorations. Her mother displayed her artistry in the meal she prepared, which was a real highlight. Dinner was delicious, beautifully presented, interesting and included ingredients from their garden. I was looking for a lifestyle experience, but I was glad Anna had already doubled the floor bedding for me. Guest rooms are individually heated with radiant heat from an ember pit system. The room was toasty, although the fall temperatures were beginning to dip to the low 50s. I am accustomed to New England mountain temps, and I assured her I did not need her father to stoke the pit outside which tunneled heat to my room floor. My one medium sized roll aboard suitcase and shoulder bag had ample space. I took a peek at the smaller available room. If you truly do not require much in the way of “stuff”, you would be comfortable in it, too. The house is laid out in a series of buildings squared around a small courtyard. Family private quarters comprise one side. A separate building serves as a commons area with a microwave, large wooden table, and small breakfast nook with teas available until a reasonable 9 P.M. I did not option the breakfast because I departed earlier than I like to eat. Two bathroom choices include one in the main commons area and one out my door, across the porch, and a few quick steps away. That small building was divided into separate male and female bathrooms/showers. The women’s bathroom was partitioned off, affording some privacy. I wouldn’t trade my waterlogged, post flight night trips to the lav around the porch for anything! Greeting the moon several times as it traveled the night sky made us old friends before morning! I was able to listen to the peaceful night sounds of the mountainside opening to rice fields below and breathe fresh air on each trip. An early morning airport trip was no problem. (very timely, small fee, well worth it) Ogamul is a treasured experience.

도착해서 떠날 때까지 모든 순간이 만족스러웠어요! 지인들에게도 모두 추천하고 싶네요!
