Make yourselves comfortable. This is essentially an affordable whole-home rental except the hosts share the front entrance. Our comfy home is on a quiet cul de sac close enough to enjoy all that Austin and the surrounding area has to offer but quiet enough to feel like a retreat with a Texas-sized backyard. We have 2 queen bed guestrooms plus a full-size LaZBoy sofabed in the living room to accommodate a 5th guest. My place is good for solo, couples, business travelers, or medium groups.
Our home is a relaxing getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city, but within easy reach of that hustle and bustle should you choose to adventure out.
The backyard is a big space and home to our Texas BBQ pit large enough to smoke several briskets at once. If you'd like to make a day of smoking meats, just ask the host to help get you set up!
Welcome to our home! Guests have permission to settle in and make full use of the living room and the kitchen, including use of the coffee maker and fridge. The backyard is also available: relax in the hammock by the fire-pit, or with supervision of the hosts, smoke your own brisket in the large, wood-fired, Texas-style BBQ pit. Hosts will be out of your way but easily accessible.
I give my guests space but am available when needed. Hosts are onsite in sectioned off side of home. Feel free to contact us with any questions, concerns or requests. We'll get back to you quickly to make your stay as comfortable and worry-free as possible. Our cat and his bed, food bowl and litter box are all on the host's side of the home.
As a former Beer Sherpa on Austin's first craft beer tour bus (Austin Brew Bus), the host is very well acquainted with the local craft beer scene and other tourist destinations, and can provide a wealth of insider tips to enhance your enjoyment of Austin. As a lifelong foodie and avid chef, he can recommend restaurants and eateries for almost any craving or budget, or help you plan a meal in the kitchen - just ask!
Our cat, Gandalf, will be contained to the owner's area where his litter, food, water and bed are located.
Host's cat will be sequestered to the host section of the home with his food, water, litter, and bed. Please be aware that there may be trace fur and dander throughout the house.
