The apartment is located in one of Quito's most architecturally iconic buildings, which also features a central location and panoramic views of the city. It was built in the 70's by the Bauhaus-influenced architect Milton Barragán, and is located in La Floresta, currently the most culturally active neighborhood in the city. The flat is usually used as an artist residency but anyone interested in getting to know the city through a cultural point of view is welcome. We also have an arts library!
The apartment has a well thought out spacial arrangement + form and an amazing view because of its location. Even though the building was built in the 70's it continues to look modern because of its style and modern-Bauhaus-influenced vision. Volcán Pichincha (Quito's nearest Volcano) can be seen right in front of the windows, as well as Colón avenue, which crosses the city from west to east, all the way to the volcano.
