Large split level lower bedroom in my personal home with private bathroom, laundry and private entrance and large private backyard.
Cape Elizabeth is about 15 minutes from downtown portland and within 1 mile of ocean state parks and beaches.
We just moved to the Maine area. My wife and I stayed with Lynn in her guest room for two weeks as we waited for our lease to begin early September. It was a great experience and awesome introduction to Maine and the Portland area. There's so much to do and experience in the nearby area. Cozy small beaches including Crescent, Higgins, and Scarborough nearby. Drive a couple hours for awesome hiking in the White Mountains. Last but not lease your 20 minutes away from fun urban life and foodie paradise in Portland. As for Lynn's place the guest room is super spacious and cozy with a downstairs bathroom. It's split level, so you do really feel like you have your own space. To top that off you've got a very peaceful backyard to sip a cup of coffee or an evening beer at. Time just flew by here, there was so much to do!
Lynn's place is very quiet and peaceful, and she has a lovely, friendly dog. The room is really big--plenty of space to spread out. I especially enjoyed having coffee on the patio under the deck. She provided two very comfortable chairs, and we had a view of her colorful flowers and ripening cucumbers.
Lynn was a great host and her home is in a great location! From the start Lynn was very communicative and welcomed us to ask her any questions about the area prior to arrival. Her home is a short drive from Portland as well as from some of Cape Elizabeth's beautiful beaches. She invited us up for coffee the first morning and gave us some great recommendations on where to visit in the area. Thanks to her, we had a great stay and fit a lot in to our short visit!
