The house is 12 years old and located in an attractive neighborhood at the end of a cul de sac. It is located in a somewhat suburbanized "country" area, easily accessible by commuter rail or road (US routes 95 & 1) to Boston and points north (eg New Hampshire or Maine).
If you book with us, you MUST have an automobile. Please be so kind as to park your car in the street on the left side of the driveway as you face the house.
Public transportation (commuter rail) is only 8 miles away with inexpensive parking ($4/day). Mr. B is our cat. When you are going in or out, please insure that Mr. B does not escape. He is strictly an indoor cat.
Please keep wet towels on the the rack on the closet door. We would really appreciate it. Thank you.
The room accommodates a maximum of two persons.
Cooking is not permitted.
The full bathroom adjacent to Merlin House is reserved for guest use. If both guest rooms are occupied it must be shared with the guests in Gandalf House. However, a half bath next to the stairs on the 1st floor is available at all times.
Hi, I am a retired attorney with many interests including, rowing, sailing, kyaking and bicycling. I am also very much into graphic and fine arts and do a lot of bookbinding and cabinetmaking.
The things I cannot live without include music (classical), fine art and wine (and sometimes a little bourbon).
Anne and I love to travel, especially by ship. We have done at least four river cruises in Europe and several ocean cruises. In fact, in the fall we're doing a transatlantic from Lisbon to Miami, which we're very excited about!
My personal favorite travel destination is Barcelona.
