Well actually, I'm Dianne ........he's Wayne! We've travelled a lot - around our great country and also throughout the world .... and we love it - meeting new people, experiencing diverse cultures and sampling delicious foods, not to mention the wines. Now we are sharing our time between Titirangi, Auckland and Motueka, situated between Nelson City and the fabulous Abel Tasman National Park
I enjoy learning languages and speak Italiano (un bel po') Deutsch (genug) Francais (un petit peu) and am keen to learn more. I have an interest in the history art, music and cooking of different cultures.
Wayne is an avid rugby fan and is passionate about our national team, the All Blacks. He also loves fishing, both salt and freshwater and sneaks off as often as he can to angle for Rainbow and Brown Trout in the serenity and tranquility on the banks of our mighty lakes and rivers in the Rotorua-Taupo region. He loves the outdoors - the native birds, flora and fauna of NZ - the native rainforest - the rugged West Coast beaches we are lucky to have so close to home.
As well as many friends and family, we have hosted international students from Hong Kong, Japan, Germany, Switzerland and Italy and have always found it a pleasure to exchange perspectives and help visitors find information and gain an insider view of our special part of New Zealand.
We expect you to be comfortable and relaxed when you stay with us - you can have as little or as much privacy as you want - Both The Garden Room and The Summerhouse have their own separate entrances - but if you feel like a glass of wine and a chat on the sundeck on a summer's evening, we'd love to get to know you a little.
