My place is centrally located close to everything Saranac Lake, Lake Placid & Tupper Lake have to offer! It's less than a block from Lake Flower's public boat launch, with easy access to snowmobile and hiking trails, and within sight of the winter Ice Palace. You will enjoy all new finishes and furnishings throughout. My 2 bedroom, 1 bath upstairs guest bungalow, with its own kitchen, living room and private entrance is great for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and small families.
My home was built in 1911, but has been beautifully maintained and recently entirely renovated inside. Guest quarters include the entire upstairs consisting of 2 bedrooms, living room, large eat-in kitchen, one bathroom and a second floor enclosed porch. Bedding and towels are provided as well as TV and Internet access. There is off-street parking for up to three vehicles (or two with trailers). Please be aware that my home is not handicap accessible. There are three stairs coming in and one flight of stairs to the guest quarters.
I ask quests to respect my personal space and privacy downstairs. However, if there's something you need, just ask! The upstairs kitchen has a stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot and toaster, and is furnished with pots, pans and dishware.
I or my property manager will be available to assist you, but for the most part, I will observe and respect your privacy.
I love well-mannered dogs and welcome them as long as they are not left unattended at the house. If I am available, I am happy to "puppy sit" while you go out to eat or meet with friends.
Please leave the place as you found it. Put trash in the can at the bottom of the stairs and dirty linens and towels into the laundry basket before you leave. Close windows, including those on the porch and be sure the coffee pot is off.
Please don't leave dogs unattended. Check with me if you need a puppy sitter. I'm happy to help. Otherwise, please crate your dog before you leave the apartment. Guests will be responsible for damage and/or cleaning fees incurred as a result of unattended pets.
Contact me if you are interested in any of the photos on the walls. They are my original photography and I'd be happy to arrange for you to purchase any prints that you like.
As a native Saranac Laker, I'm so happy to be back home after an absence of 30+ years! Finding and renovating my beautiful home at 39 Winona Avenue has been a labor of love and a blessing. Over the past year, I've loved "practicing" my hosting skills with frequent visitors. Now that the upstairs is finished and furnished, I'm proud to offer my home and sincerely hope friends (old and new) and family members will feel the same sense of warmth, community and welcome that I do here.
