Small, comfy room overlooking the garden with full-size bed, rocking chair and antique bureau shares a full bath with a larger room (listed separately) on the same floor of our home. Available during the cooler months (no A/C). Please give us 48 hours notice.
This is the smaller of two rooms (separate listing) we have available for you to rest and recoup from the day. We offer it in the cooler months, both because we don't use air conditioning and because the room itself is the kind you want to curl up in with a good mystery and a warm, cuddly cat on a blustery night.
This room shares a full bath with a larger room next door. You are welcome to sit in the family room off the kitchen and nibble cookies and have tea or coffee in front of the fireplace or the wood burning stove. The screened porch off this room leads out to the frog pond and garden. Quiet, peaceful, restful; warm and welcoming. We have a cat family, all friendly and welcoming. They are indoor girls, but curious about the world out there. Please look down as you come and go--they move fast! Also, we are still in love with the hard wood floors in the two guests bedrooms. Please remove your shoes when walking in them? Thanks so much!
My husband, Allan and I (Lisa) will interact as much or as little as our guest(s) desire. We want our guests to feel at home, be it enjoying quiet, private time or chatting about any and all interests. We're easy-going folks and we're happy you're with us.
Our home is a haven for family and friends. Settle in, relax, pick up a cat or a book or a pillow (any combination, none or all three) and let the world go away for a while.
We'd appreciate your removing your shoes when in your bedrooms (the floors are new), and since the cats are curious about the world out there, please look down as you enter and exit the house. Thanks very much!
Lisa is from Dorchester, MA and is a member of Actors' Equity. She moved to Scituate when she married Allan Greenberg, a retired college professor/administrator. She loves to cook, bake and garden. Allan plays tennis, he bikes, collects and repairs mechanical clocks, is a very active member of Audubon and treats Tai Qi as a religion. His cooking leaves Lisa's in the dust.
