This home is spectacular. Far larger than imaginable. The pictures barely begin to convey the beauty and the feel of this place. The house slept 4 families very very comfortably. The furnishings are upscale, well selected, and well placed. This place is just right for couples getting away without children, and wonderfully, delightfully, cozy enough for families with little ones. We had 10 kids in our crew. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and there is plenty of space for entertaining, cooking and dining in large groups, working puzzles, and accommodating kids' activities inside and out. The garage is stocked with adult-friendly and kid-friendly toys and water-adventuring gear (kayaks, bikes and tricycles, stand up paddle boards, etc.). We love the layout of this home. Folks can be loud in the communal areas and still be inaudible to those in the sleeping quarters. There are plenty of bathrooms with tubs (a major plus if you have kids playing on the coast like we did). GORGEOUS, gorgeous views of the coast out the front window, with a picturesque landscape of golden grassy dunes outstretched between the house and the coast. The walk to the beach is just heavenly. We had snow on the mountain range pass getting there (there are alternate routes, FYI), fits of hail on the beach once we arrived, and rain rain rain all weekend. Not what we Portlanders had ordered up for vacation weather conditions. Because of the beauty and warmth and ease of this place, and the tremendous windows and landscape, the weather became utterly magical--hail and all. The kids cried when it was time to leave. Truly, they wailed. Ellen and Aaron were very generous hosts. They responded to our every need and whim (via phone, text, or in-person). We will definitely be back again.
