Where to begin? Ken was an amazing host and his property is something to be seen. We stayed in the cabin, but he also offers a treehouse on the same property and a sailboat at Manson's Landing. We got to tour the treehouse and ended up staying an extra night on the boat. Ken really helped us out in a pickle, going above and beyond and highlighting just how much more you can get out of a service like AirBnb over a traditional service.
The cabin was everything you could want for a secluded getaway. It's not central to anything or near the water, but nothing is far away on Cortes Island. Ken allowed us to use his garden and explore the property. The cabin was very comfortable and quiet. There are a few books but that's about it for entertainment, so I recommend bringing some playing cards or a game if you'd like something to do at night as you wind down. A romantic getaway, or a secluded reset, the cabin is the spot.
