Sea Pumpkin Cottage is very cozy and comfortable with an open-plan living area with fully equipped kitchen, large table and an open fireplace, a private bedroom with compact en suite shower/toilet and basin. A sleeper couch serves two purposes in the lounge. Sun filters in throughout the day. There is a little garden with braai (BBQ) area, where you can also enjoy the abundance of bird life and the possibility of seeing the wild horses of Fisherhaven passing by.
Compact and practical, Sea Pumpkin is an escape from the hustle and bustle of city stress to village tranquility. The cottage is within walking distance to the local Haven Café, where one can purchase almost any item required during your stay. Our local Pub and Restaurant down the road offers the ambience of village life and local (tall) stories and perhaps a place to make new friends. An abundance of bird and wildlife together with our wild horses is the major attraction of being in Fisherhaven. Nestled between beautiful mountains and the Bot River lagoon you'll find paradise (the "Haven"). Experience sun rises and sun sets beyond your imagination!
The cottage with its own garden is at your disposal which also allows you to braai (BBQ). Access via an electronic gate to private parking with your own private entrance allows freedom of movement. We ask that you respect our neighbours by keeping noise levels low and not invading their space.
As I live just down the road, I am available to assist where required. I respect your privacy at all times. On long stays, a weekly clean and linen change will be arranged where I can catch up with how my guest(s) are enjoying their holiday. Private laundry can be arranged (extra cost) and is usually a same-day service. We have our own local security firm (OPS - Overstrand Protection Services) as well as resident Emergency Medical Response (EMR) - all a simple push of the panic button or a phone-call away.
- Respect our neighbours' privacy
I love creating and designing items for my, and other peoples homes. My interests are sewing, cooking, gardening and spending quality time with my family and dogs in the garden. The things that take my breath away are the magical sun rises over the mountains and the burst of colour, as the sun sets beyond the sea. I've been hosting for a while now and thoroughly enjoy meeting people from around the world.
My life motto: Work hard, have fun and make a difference!
