A little History
This home was built in 1926 by Elizabeth Rothschild. She and her husband were first class passengers on the Titanic. Unfortunately he did not survive but "Lizzie" lived on and built this as her winter home 14 years later.
We have renovated this historic home so it has all of the modern amenities with the old charm of a historic Mediterranean Revival home. Several entertaining areas make it a perfect for several couples, a large family and girls getaway weekends.
The kitchen is fully loaded with everything you need to cook and serve for your visit along with many suggestions for all of the wonderful local and diverse restaurants. The bathrooms are stocked with large new fluffy bath towels and all linens for the beds are new, current and well done. We also have 2 TV's with cable as well as WIFI for your convenience. The most popular space we have found at our home is the walled courtyard with outdoor fireplace. It's the perfect spot to gather in the evenings after a day at the beach. The bocci ball court is fun for kids and adults alike. We also have two kayaks and a couple of bicycles for your enjoyment.
This is our second home so we are not always in the area to greet guests. We have a neighbor who is available when needed and a local maintenance person available for emergencies. We use a keypad for entry and security so check in is easy. We are always available by phone to answer any questions. We have a guide on site with information on local attractions you will want to visit, and our favorite restaurants.
We have put our heart and soul into this two year remodeling project. Saving the home from demolition and updating and perfecting the space. This is not your average "rental" property. Since we do not live here, there is no feeling like you are in someone else's home with the childrens toys stuffed in a closet or other peoples belongings stuffed in drawers! We hope that you will love it as much as we do.
