Ashcott Homestead is a Heritage NZ listed building which started life in the 1850's, built by settlers from Ashcott in Somerset, UK. This unique homestead has been extensively renovated whilst retaining the character features from the Victorian era.
We welcome visitors to share the history and ambience of our home where you can relax in this peaceful Central Hawkes Bay location.
Beautifully appointed bedrooms with private bathrooms are accessed via the staircase built from NZ native timbers in 1910.
Please note this listing is for the Sunrise Room with Queen bed, see our other listings for Bayly Room and A'Deane Room.
We also have a family room with Queen bed and child's bed if required, please contact host to arrange. A highchair and portacot are also available.
Guests are welcome to use the original Panelled Room lounge together with the Library, Billiard Room and guest area with refreshments available. Feel free to wander around the 10 acres of land with large pond, visit the free ranging chickens and sheep, or climb the hill for a fabulous view of the Ruahine Ranges.
We share our beautiful home with our friendly miniature schnauzer Beanie.
We ask that visitors refrain from smoking due to the age of the homestead and its construction from NZ native timbers.
Dogs allowed upon request (certain conditions apply)
We are always on hand to help with anything guests may require whilst understanding that guests may want to just relax and enjoy their privacy.
David and I love to host people from NZ and overseas; we believe in making every guest feel welcome and relaxed.
