There are stains on the mattress that I asked the host about and he replied it was tea, but the housekeeper told me that is was in fact Urine. The floors weren’t cleaned and the bathroom was unimaginable, I had to clean it myself. If the place was professionally cleaned and the mattress was changed the place wouldn’t have been so bad..
For 4 college kids traveling, this apartment was perfect for us! Just one bedroom but we had more than enough room. Nothing fancy, just the essentials. Bathroom is small, but it was no problem. There was a washer and dryer in the building, a big TV in the apartment, and great parking behind or in front of the building. Eric was very quick to answer any questions I had. Just a reminder that it is in Newark, which has a bit of a reputation for being... sketchy. However, we had no problems at all and felt very secure our whole stay. Even chatted with a few of the neighbors and walked a few blocks for some soul food. The best part was how easy and cheap it is to get into the New York City. We took a ten minute bus ride from the stop just minutes from the apartment to Newark Penn Station ($1.50) then from there we took the PATH (Port Authority Trans-Hudson) train straight to the World Trade Center new Transportation Hub ($2.75). The ride to WTC is only 20 minutes. We will for sure stay here again!
