My place is close to the ocean and family-friendly activities. You’ll love the location; close to the city but far enough away to be quiet. Its ideal for couples, solo adventurers and small families. Plenty of street parking at the house.
All of the drawers and wardrobe are empty if you'd like to unpack. Its an old house so nothing is perfect, but its still a nice room.
Guests can make use of the entire house except bedrooms that have not been allocated to them.
The outdoor furniture and loungers can be used. If there is ripe fruit on the trees, help yourself. Apricots, Plums, and Feijoa's will be plentiful in 2017.
I take care of my granddaughter from 9am till 5.30pm Mon, Tues, Thurs & Fri. As a Porse Educator, I take her out most mornings. It's busy but I am always approachable. Ask me questions, share your day with me etc.
I have two little Yorkies. (Dogs that are smaller than a cat.) No cats but a lot of my neighbours do and they sometimes dare to venture onto the property.
Please be mindful that the gates must be closed again after you have gone through, to keep my granddaughter and dogs safe.
As an Early Childhood Educator, I legally need to write a few rules for when my grandchild is here (sorry, I know that you know these things anyway):
Be mindful of language and behaviour. (But feel free to talk with her!)
Keep your room door closed when you are not in the house.
The children know they're not to go into your room so please don't invite them in. (So that her rules aren't confused)
You could say I'm homely, but that sounds a bit dreary! I do love being home though and taking care of people and making them feel welcome. I've been hosting international students for ages and some have become life-long friends, returning to visit me and Napier more than once. I love young people and kids. I take care of my two year old granddaughter four days a week and on request at other times! So perhaps a 'People Person' would be a better description. I love to laugh and am sometimes funny - which surprises me when it happens!
One more thing. I take care of an elderly man named Tom. He is a long-term live in boarder who loves gardening and ice-cream. (No relation)
