A quiet location just 8 miles from downtown Bangor. Located on a private road on a peninsula; open lake on one side and wetland on the other. Enjoy the sounds of nature- bullfrogs in the spring, ducks, geese, loons, eagles in the summer through the fall , cracking ice in the winter. Quiet, safe, and friendly neighborhood.
Beautiful tongue and groove pine walls in the living room which has a windowed view of the lake just a dozen feet outside. Updated kitchen and bathroom. Second floor offers two sleeping areas separated by the stairwell - (more like an open loft than two separate bedrooms)- the areas can sleep 2 in a queen and 1 person each in two single beds. but will be renovated into one master bedroom in the future. A sofa downstairs turns into a bed which can sleep 2. Canoes, kayaks and BBQ provided. The host lives next door and is available to answer questions about the lake and surrounding area.
A great spot to enjoy a good book in a swaying hammock. Feel free to ask any questions.
You have full run of the camp and have access to a dock, kayaks, canoe, BBQ and relaxing hammock. Life jackets provide and required by law while boating. A boat landing is located a few miles away by road and just a short boat ride across the lake. Several snowmobile trails service the area (see map)
Everybody on the point is very friendly and accommodating. Feel free to knock on my door with any questions. The little neighborhood enjoys relaxing to the sounds of nature so please keep the heavy metal to a minimum.
Smoke outside please.
Quiet time after 10. Smoking outside please. Life jackets required by law while boating. No running on dock ( same swimming rules as any YWCA)
I'm a born and raised Mainer who has traveled throughout Central and South America, South East Asia, New Zealand as well as across the US by bicycle and along the Appalachian Trail twice. I'm employed as a letter carrier for the US Postal Service. I enjoy the outdoors and own two small camps right on the waters of Pushaw Lake just outside of Bangor, Maine. My goal is to rent out one of the camps to couples who want to enjoy lakeside living in Maine. I'm new to hosting but have had enjoyable experiences in hostels and homes throughout the world. I enjoy learning the cultures, foods and languages of fellow world travelers.
