2 bedrooms overlooking the Carson Valley above South Lake Tahoe and a short distance from the Nevada side of the Heavenly Ski Resort.
Driving up late at night I wasn't sure about how far I was going to be driving from the mountain but when I got there...Omg. The view is BEAUTIFUL! It's not ski on ski off but it is really close to a ski lift, and there is a shuttle a couple steps away from the unit. If you drive it's less than 5 minutes to the stagecoach lift which is much less crowded than the other lifts. You can buy your tickets there and renew your Epic pass. Now the unit...the pictures don't do it justice. It is really spectacular. The beds are comfy, there's a huge tub with a rain shower that has a great view as well as a separate bathroom and shower for the master. There is a gas fireplace that is very user friendly. The hot tub does not belong to the unit, but it has by far the most beautiful view I've ever experienced from a tub. I would go back just for that view! The house was well stocked with appliances and kitchen gear. It was a great place to stay, I would definitely come back! P.S., if you plan on renting gear, there's a rental place called Black Tie that will deliver your gear on location. They're cheaper than any of the Heavenly rental places, the gear is good quality, and they also rent out pants and jackets.
I stayed at Ed's space (a time-share at Ridge Sierra) for two nights. Communication: Excellent - Ed was on top of making sure I was aware of the check-in process and the fact that there was a big winter storm coming in the weekend my group was there. Accuracy: Pictures are exactly what you get. It's a hotel/time-share community so everything looks the same. The Space: 2 bedroom/2 bathroom with an open concept living room/kitchen and fireplace. Not fully updated but not old either. It was extremely comfortable and spacious for our group of 4. We could've fit an extra 1-2 adults in the living room which has a couch (I believe it's a pull out but we didn't need it) Location: It's located at the Ridge Sierra community and it is VERY close to the Stagecoach Lodge at Heavenly. You can walk it, but I would recommend taking the Ridge Sierra bus which stops around the community frequently. Do not wait around for the Heavenly Blue bus because it will always be full by the time it gets to you since you're so close. Same thing on the way home, don't wait in line for the Heavenly bus and flag down a Ridge Sierra shuttle bus to take you home. It saved us a half an hour. Tips: The space is located in a community that has a hilly, narrow street that will get covered in snow/ice during a winter storm. Make sure you have a 4x4 or chains or whatever you need. Also, pack a shovel and ice scraper. A shovel so you can dig yourself into and out of a parking spot which are hard to come by.
Edward was so amazing and helpful throughout the entire process! He's incredibly responsive and even sent me tips for the area and emailed me reminders of what to bring such as a bathing suit! This timeshare is in a apartment-like building, but so well spaced out that it does not feel cramped at all. The two bedrooms had plenty of room and the two bathrooms were super clean and warm, plus one had a washer dryer! Kitchen is well stocked with utensils, but no oven. However, the microwave has a conventional oven feature so super helpful! Living room is spacious and it was so easy to start a fire plus there's a large balcony right outside! There's a shuttle that takes you down to the downtown area which we took full advantage and it's situated right next to Heavenly! Cannot recommend Edward's place or Edward highly enough, we'll definitely be back!
