The Chalet at Mount Shasta is close to Mt. Shasta City (5 minutes), in a quiet neighborhood, recessed from the street with views of Mount Shasta. We, Jack & Terri (Bay Area), go to Mt. Shasta often and bought The Chalet in 1999 for our use and for guests. We have MANY repeat / loyal guests. This is a new listing on Airbnb so not many reviews yet but outstanding 5-star reviews on other sites. The Chalet has a Vacation Rental Permit from Siskiyou County abiding by all regulations. Details below.
While we are quite flexible in meeting guest needs, there are some basic policies:
- We encourage early arrival (before 3 PM and late departure (after 10 AM) when schedule permits. Arrangements must be made in advance.
We are dog-lovers. Here are a few simple pet rules:
- Pets cannot be left alone in The Chalet (unless crated)
- Guest with a dog must bring pooper-scooper bags with to clean up. It is especially critical that there is ‘no poop left behind’ in the fenced-in back yard so that the property manager does not have to clean it up. The property manager will add an additional amount to the regular cleaning fee which may be deducted from your deposit if applicable.
Notes for winter:
- In winter, driveway will be plowed and paths shoveled for arrival. Plowing / shoveling not provided once guests arrive. Shovels are provided.
-Snow and ice are part of winter in Mt. Shasta. There may be snow and ice around The Chalet during your time there with slippery conditions. The Chalet at Mount Shasta is not responsible for injuries that may occur due to natural hazards, such as ice and snow. All guests staying at The Chalet assume that responsibility.
