This space is very unique- you don't have to be an artist to enjoy it! The space has one very large living room/studio that opens into a kitchen/loft bedroom, w/ a small outdoor area through the back door. The space is located in midcity- very central in LA, right by the 10 freeway- so very easy access to head downtown or the beach! There are two couches. Only one bathroom and one sink.
The space is better suited for one person instead of two, as the living space is intimate.
You can sleep with the backdoor open- as there is a gated door that locks just behind the wood door- so you get fresh air in the loft while you're snoozing :) The Kitchenette is equipped with an espresso maker, double hot plate and toaster oven- believe it or not I have even baked a cake in the toaster oven and I cook pasta, fish etc on the hot plate- so it's as good as a full blown kitchen! There is an air filter up in the bedroom, and a clear plastic curtain across the entrance of the studio- to keep spray paint out of the rest of the space. You might have noticed it in the photos. Personally I think it's pretty cool ;) If you're an artist feel free to set up and work in the space- just please use your own supplies.
Full Access to the entire space + backyard with 2 chairs and a little table and umbrella.
Ideally I am currently looking for one booking for all of January and February- so that will get priority over small bookings at the moment. Sorry for any inconvenience!
I will most likely be out of town while you're staying at my house, so if you have questions you can call me (if I'm in country) or you can email me if you need anything. If there is an emergency I will have a friend come help.
Plants would love to be watered once a week- biginning 7 days after you arrive. Very little water for the cacti please- they're picky ;)
Please be sure to keep the apartment tidy- shoes need to be removed before going into the kitchen/living space.
In order to keep ants out dirty plates should not be kept in the sink, please wash after using.
I typically put the wooden shower platform up against the wall after showering so that it can dry and no mildew can grow.
Thank you! This will help us to have a tidier home and place for you to reside in!
An artist living in paradise-I just moved to LA after 8 years in Brooklyn, NY. It's a fun change- especially in the winter! The only thing is I don't have too many recommendations for you in LA just yet except to hit the beach! ;) I am a muralist so I travel lots for work. My space has lots of my art in it- so enjoy!
