Laura's house is cleaner than my own. It is pretty centrally located, 10 mins walk from Durham station and 15 mins walk from the coach station. It is also near Wharton Park and has great views all around. On my trip, I walked from Laura's house to the main attractions - Durham Cathedral and Castle, it's only 30 mins walk, very convenient. The neighbourhood is clean and quiet, I have no trouble getting there or falling asleep. As I said, Laura's house is very warm and clean. When I booked, I was the only guest and was given a guest bathroom which was only used by me, with towels provided. The bathroom looked brand new, so was everything in the room. The bedroom I was in was very lovely, I like Laura's choice of bed cover, the lighting was great, the internet was fast and it even had a TV and Netflix. The mirror was very nice, too, I would like to have one like that in my own house. I was also given storage place (if you have luggages this will be useful) and breakfast was provided in the morning. Laura also put leaflets in the bedroom suggesting what to do/eat in Durham, very helpful. Due to my train, I got to Laura's house pretty late, but was still warmly greeted. Moreover, I accidentally missed my coach back from Durham, Laura and Sam allowed me to stay a little bit longer to get the return sorted, really appreciated this help. Their dog is also very cute, he is a bit timid, but very friendly, you shouldn't be worried even if you don't like pets. I will definitely recommend Laura's place, if you decide to come to Durham, you surely should stay over and make yourself at home with Laura, Sam and Gilli.
Laura's communication was fantastic and I am not surprised that all of the reviews are so complementary. I was kept in touch with very readily. Unfortunately I had to cancel my stay at the very last moment, but I have no doubt, from the quality and friendliness of the communication that should I have stayed I would have had an excellent experience. Many thanks.
