Overall, this was a good place to stay:
This apartment seems to be managed by an agency and not an individual owner.
Apartment was as advertised and looks like the pictures.
Had the electric tea kettle break after day one, and the internet did not work the first day. After a phone call to the management number provided, both problems were fixed the next day. Very responsive, albeit I had the luxury of having a native Russian speaker with me, so your mileage may vary if you don't speak fluent Russian with them.
Neighborhood was relatively quiet, and within a quick 3 minute walk to a local mini-market, bar, and restaurant. Not many choices in the neighborhood, but enough if you plan on spending most your time in the city seeing sites. Very convenient.
Building was also secured by an electronic key pad, big plus for security.
As for convenience of transportation, the apartment is an easy 10 minute walk to the Dinamo station on the green line. When you factor in the walk and standard ride time, you are about 25 minutes from apartment to red square or most other sites in Moscow.
Wouldn't rely much on the TV for entertainment, it's an older tube model and seems to be close to wearing out.
Internet was fast enough to catch up on email, (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN), and even watch a few youtube videos or stream music. Netflix does not seem to work in Russia, so if you plan on having down time to relax and want movies, either bring a VHS (who has those anymore?) or bring movies digitally on a laptop or iPad.
Cooking utensils in the kitchen were good, was able to cook a wide variety of things. Oddly though, a wine bottle opener was missing from the collection of utensils and we had to resort to asking a neighbor to borrow one.
Bathroom was good but small. Understandable for an Apartment like this. There was plenty of hot water with a great stand in shower, and a good functioning toilet, with good storage space for your basic toiletries in the cabinets.
Overall this was a good apartment to stay at, and at the time of booking was one of the more economical choices too. Big pluses are proximity to the Metro-Subway, proximity of a mini-market, quiet area, good climate control (was there in March when it was cold) and professional management that attended to issues when they were brought up.
