Comfortable & Cozy 'renovated' 1948 Mill Worker's Cabin ~ set in the Sierra Foothills. Conveniently located in the heart of El Dorado Wine Country and 'Apple Hill' orchards. Walk to Market, Post Office, Cafe/bakeries, Restaurant/ Pub and Trails.
This is a simple cozy space with old character in a small foothill community surrounded by tall cedars and pines. You will have a quiet private room. Most everything you will need is within walking distance. The El Dorado Trail just 5 mins away.
Wireless Internet, full access to kitchen, laundry room and outdoor Bar-B-Q & picnic table. Extra mountain bike available.
I always enjoy meeting new guests! I will also respect your privacy. After you are settled-in, I will be available by phone, if not on site, and more than happy to help in any way I can.
My dog 'Mia' may also be sharing the house during your stay. She is a small, very well-mannered friendly American Eskimo.
There is no smoking allowed in the house. This is generally a quiet house & peaceful neighborhood. If you are looking for a party house, this space is most likely not for you. Also, know there are several fun local places to enjoy live music along with good food & drink. And you will have a nice quiet space to come home to.
Welcoming and easy-going individual with a passion for experiencing the fascinating cultural diversity of life! While taking a break from the craziness of the corporate world and enjoying the freedom to travel, I gained an appreciation for comfortable and personal hospitality in small towns with a true sense of community. A few of my favorite places ~ where I plan to return and explore again: Coastal trail of Able Tasman National Park, New Zealand; the fun fishing village of Hopkins, Belize; the serene beach cabanas of Riviera Maya ~ Tulum, Mexico; Hawi, Hawaii; the Kenai Peninsula of southern Alaska and the wonderful historic town of McCarthy, Wrangell-St Elias National Park. I most recently relocated from Healy, Alaska ~ working with and enjoying the vast wilderness of Denali National Park. I now find myself nesting in the serenity of the Sierra Foothills of California, once again. With a focus on 'quality of life' and a simple lifestyle, I am offering to share my Camino home as a retreat and temporary rental. I love this place!
If you enjoy outdoor recreation, you will be sure to find your happy place near by.... hiking, cycling, fishing, rafting & kayaking, winter skiing & snowshoeing, wine tasting, local Farmer's Markets .... and so much more! I look forward to meeting you and sharing all that this special place has to offer.
