The apartment is well proportioned. Your bedroom is on the first level and is furnished with a double bed, drawers and fitted wardrobe. Your bed has a comfortable memory foam mattress, mattress topper, feather down duvet and plenty of pillows and cushions to make sure you're super comfy and cosy. There are tea/coffee making facilities in your room as well as in the lounge. The wardrobe has hanging space and shelves, and there is also a chest of drawers for storing your clothes. There is a coat rack and a shelf for your shoes. For business travellers, there is a desk to work at and WIFI is available throughout the apartment. A hair dryer is also available.
Your shower room is located up one flight of stairs on the main landing. As well as a large basin, good shower and large towel radiator, there is a shaver socket and a light above the mirror. I supply you with a bath towel, hand towel, flannel, bath mat, soap and toilet roll.
The main living area is an open plan lounge/kitchen/diner, and takes full advantage of the beautiful Regency bay windows, giving you views up and down the street, across the rooftops and over the sea. The large, 3-seater, L-shaped sofa is perfect for relaxing on or to catch up on your favourite TV programmes. The contemporary kitchen has a gas hob, electric oven/grill, microwave, kettle, toaster, built-in fridge/freezer and washing machine. A full set of plates/bowls, glassware, cutlery, cooking pans and kitchen utensils are also included for those who wish to cook. As well as a dining table, there is a breakfast bar for less formal dining.
Having travelled for most of my life, you will find some quirky and different ornaments around the apartment, coming from Asia, Africa, Australasia and, of course, Brighton!
My apartment is located on the 3rd floor of a Grade II listed, Regency building. There is a main front door, a well-lit and nicely decorated lobby with stairs to the flat (3.5 flights in total), with a second front door to my apartment. As my apartment is a split level property, there are a further 2 flights of stairs within the property itself.
You’ll be provided with a set of keys so you can come and go as you please. Please note that this is a quiet apartment in a quiet area, so please be considerate of my neighbours when you leave and enter the property.
I will be away during your stay and most of the time I am out of the country, so if you need to contact me, please use the Airbnb App as my UK phone number won't be active. You will be provided with local telephone and online messaging details for the co-host who will be checking you in and out. Full details of how to contact both myself and your co-host will be provided before your arrival date.
Sorry, no additional guests allowed. Maximum of 2 guests per booking.
As the carpets are relatively new and the lounge has laminate flooring which can be noisy for my neighbours living below, please don't wear outdoor shoes inside; please bring slippers with you.
This is a quiet property, so strictly no parties or additional guests.
Only use the washing machine when you are in the apartment to avoid the risk of accidental flooding.
For insurance purposes, no candles are to be used or lit in any part of the apartment.
My family are originally from Brighton, but I've lived all over the place, with my last stint being 8 years in Thailand (I was only going for 3 months!!). I'm self-employed (proofreader, property manager, landlord and host), and work mainly from home. Having lived abroad so much, I have friends all around the world, of all ages and from all walks of life. I'm fascinated by the differences in culture and language - learning about them can be highly entertaining! Having hosted overseas students in the summer months, I'm used to sharing my home with visitors to Brighton, and I'm looking forward to meeting you as part of my venture on AirBnB!
