Solo traveller. I stayed at FPFV over a long weekend during the raining season in Thailand (September), at a time when guests/customers are fewer. FPFV is a glamping and bungalow facility, so expect basic facilities, yet clean and comfortable. Price is great for what you get. The place has a "hippie feel" to it.
If you're looking for a serene place to escape to for a no fuss, chill-out environment, the FPFV is for you. Tropical terraced gardens are exquisite, on a path only passed by bikes and people on foot. Set 150metres above Buffalo Bay, 20 minute motorbike ride from ferry wharf.
Hosts were completely friendly, and accommodating. They were welcoming and helpful getting me settled into my tent. Throughout my stay all staff were accessible, helpful, and friendly.
Restaurant was open for all meals, and food was delicious. Thai, Burmese, Italian & some western food. Convenient store with snacks, drinks, essential groceries (no fruit & veg), toiletries, cosmetics, insect repellants, etc. Also at shop can buy ferry tickets, order motorbike taxi, or arrange other services on Koh Phayam. Friendly staff.
