This private studio w/loft has a private entrance separate from the main facilities. It offers a king size loft area with queen bed mattress; ONLY accessible by a wood ladder. Includes floating entertainment center and walk in closet/kitchenette area. It faces out to a large woodsy yard with a fire pit/picnic table. Cozy, intimate, private space; a perfect "glamping" getaway. Beautiful beaches 5 miles away, 2 harbors, The CI Islands, plenty of shopping and MORE, to delight & entertain you!
Oxnard has so many amazing beaches, surf breaks, and of coarse THE CI Islands that you'll want to be gone all day exploring! Come back "home" to BBQ (small charcoal grill available but you provide/purchase charcoal) and sit by the bonfire without worrying about having to set up or break down a tent, etc. There is an extra large picnic table too, for Al fresco dining.
NOTE* There is only a sheet on queen loft bed, so you need to BYO linens: comforters, blanket, sleeping bag, pillow, etc. OR I can provide for $5 pp. I can also provide an air mattress (if available) for additional guests after 1st two, but I have limited supplies, so I would need to know in advance. Kitchenette has basics for you to prepare and cook: mini fridge, hot plate, toaster, cutting mats, pots, paper towels, plates, cups, etc. Space is minimally decorated and is designed for "glamping" guests that already have those things. The bathroom is located inside the main house to the left of front door.
Cooking is prohibited inside main house but can be used if you need microwave or sink to wash dishes in.
I work off the honor system, so if I am not here and you want to buy beverages, wood, snacks; I trust that you will leave the proper amount of ca$h along with keys when you check out.

I work from my studio @ home so I am on site (80% time) and MORE than happy to accommodate your needs, but I do ask that you FIRST read through my listing before asking me; as I have spent HOURS updating, adding on, etc to the different pages of my listing. If its not covered in my listing please don't hesitate to tell me what you need. I am here for YOU!
I like to be home when guests arrive to give you the house key and show you around a little; but other arrangements will be emailed to you irregardless, in case I am not available.
-LAUNDRY/IRON: If you are here on business or just like your clothes wrinkle free, let me know and I can supply ironing board/iron in your room before arrival. I ask that you stay a minimum of a week before asking to use washer/dryer (with permission/instruction)
-BONFIRE: (prior notice and fire safety required to use) local wood bundles $5
PURCHASE: toothbrush, eye masks, misc. essentials
RENTAL: two person tandem ($15 hr/$25 day) and a Schwinn cruiser ($10 hr/$20 day)
COMING SOON: foam long boards, SUP and more++
*Please read my entire listing before messaging, as I have comprehensive coverage for most questions! If I repeat myself I apologize, but better safe than sorry :-)
-FRONT DOOR: Since it is an older home built in the 40's, the entrance doors swell up from the weather, so they need a good hard slam to close properly, dont worry....you wont wake us!
-DOOR LOCKS: Also, the door locks on main house always "appear" unlocked from inside BUT this is a misconception; please check outside door knob for accuracy..... otherwise I am afraid you might get locked out!
-CHECK OUT: Feel free to leave without checking out but please LEAVE KEYS inside the room before you go. There will be a $20 charge for lost key.
-QUIET HOURS: are 10pm-7am according to city ordinance.
-SMOKING: There is absolutely no cigarette smoking in the house. We have ash trays out back and on side patio for guests use. We just don't want butts to end up on the ground, or on the street.
-SEC. DEPOSIT: are only charged if the host needs to make a claim based on damages, unpaid balances, etc.
Today is a gift.....that is why it is called the "present". Living TODAY like there is no tomorrow. I have a warm cozy home and I love to entertain. My passion is Mother Nature: I am an upcycle artist, love the outdoors and try to be as all natural as I can; all this in hopes to make a difference in the world (even if small) I welcome the opportunity to learn something new and exciting :-)
