A holiday cottage, recently upgraded into a cosy home from home, with comfortable amenities. The log burner and dishwasher are the latest additions. As a traditional railway cottage it boasts 3 bedrooms over 2 floors with the rest of the facilities downstairs. You will find us 4 miles west of Cockermouth and you can reach the heart of the Northern Fells in less than 20 minutes. Keswick and Whitehaven are easily accessible. The Village Pub is only a 2 minute stroll.
- The stairs to the upper floors are steep. There is no stair gate. We recommend that the landing lights are left on overnight for safety. The stairs are not safe for unsupervised toddlers. The house is not suitable for those with disabilities.
-Dogs are allowed at Station Terrace but please keep them off the furniture and beds and under your control. Please clean up after your dog. There is a black bin at the back of the house to dispose of bagged waste.
-Do not walk your dog in the field behind the house it is private.
-Please leave the cottage in a similar condition to how you found it.
We love being outdoors walking the dog on the Lakeland fells but we can't do that all the time . Our son is 14 and just starting off his studies for his GCSEs so like many families, our lives revolve around school work and after school activities. After many years as a Business Manager and Marketing Consultant, I work part time for the NHS as a Lay Member for a CCG and Governor of the local Ambulance Trust. My husband Gary is a whizz at project management and brilliant with a compass so he keeps us on the right hillside path. We all love travelling and have had some lovely times staying in AirBnB places in the US and Europe. This year we managed to spend some quality time in Italy and Belgium where we indulged in some more of our favourite pastimes.... eating.
