This is a set of three tastefully decorated suites surrounded by beautiful gardens. One suite is twin bedded, and two are double bedded. Each suite consists of a bedroom and a glass-enclosed sitting room that has a vista of flower-filled gardens, groves of trees, and undulating cropland. Each suite also has its own patio. All rooms are furnished with a combination of antique and modern furniture and hand-made artefacts. This is a perfect place to relax, bird watch, and star gaze.
This is a haveli (north Indian term for a mansion of traditional design). It combines traditional architecture with modern comfortable interiors, the amenities of an elegant hotel with the warmth and informality of a family home, a timeless rural agrarian environment with a post-modern ethos of eco-friendly travel.
Set outside the tourist cluster of the Pink City, guests will get a genuine feel for authentic Rajasthani culture, food, and life. Our farm-to-fork meals are organic, simple and delicious and cooked in the slow tradition. Guests will have the opportunity to explore the villages and farms in the neighbourhood, the blockprinting village of Bagru (10 km away), do day trips to cultural-historical-environmental getaways closeby, and have easy access to Jaipur's historical attractions and shopping, facilitated by our comfortable cars outfitted with seat belts and driven by courteous, knowledgeable, English-speaking drivers. Spend the day in Jaipur, or do day excursions to Amber, Sanganer, Pushkar, Abhaneri, or Bharatpur, learn blockprinting or bangle making, and return to Savista in the evenings - your escape from noise, traffic and crowds. Alternatively, you could spend all your time here, doing a yoga or cooking class or a detox workshop, and spend the evenings hiking or biking in the countryside around.
Our comfortable rooms (air-conditioned in summer, heated in winter) all have ensuite bathrooms and balconies, and several have an extra sitting room or private terrace. They are tastefully decorated and each room has a unique design and theme/name drawn from nature. High speed, unlimited wifi and at least one room which is disability friendly, are other features.
There are numerous common spaces in the haveli - large lounges, sit-outs, sun decks, the pool courtyard and deck, film viewing room, library, and an amazing roof top girdling the entire haveli that is an excellent space for sun bathing, bird watching, star gazing, snoozing, or simply looking out onto the countryside that surrounds the property. There are also gardens and lawns with hammocks and garden chairs, marquees for sun lounging, al fresco breakfast and dining areas, a separate wing with a gym, sauna and steam, bar lounge, and enclosed dining area warmed by fireplaces in the winter. We have an open-air freshwater pool, tennis and table tennis. Finally, there are fields and a vegetable garden where grains, oilseeds, pulses and vegetables are grown organically for use by the haveli.

Hello! I am your host Bhanwar. When you book with us, you will be staying as my guest in my ancestral home, an aristocratic mansion that was built in the late 19 th century by one of my ancestors.
I am an academic with long years of experience in the field of development, both in India and internationally. A few years ago, my wife ( also an academic) and I decided to return and restore this ancestral property using traditional masonry skills and ecologically appropriate building materials. On the 12 acre grounds in which it is set, we have been fine tuning organic agricultural practices, to be able to grow and be self sufficient in foodgrains, oilseeds and vegetables. Our gardens are full of several varieties of flowers, and shade and fruit bearing and medicinal trees and plants, which attract multitudes of birds, butterflies and wild bees. Our water, drawn from deep bore wells, is natural and sweet, and even our swimming pool water has no chemicals in it!. Working in harmony with the environment and the local community is our credo.
Enjoying the simple beauty of the countryside while living in aesthetically deigned luxury, eating delicious slow-cooked local cuisine, and getting to explore both Jaipur city's monuments and rural crafts, bazaars and way of life, are among the things you will encounter as a guest.
My passion for culture, history and conservation of natural and built spaces, for music, books, bicycles, birdwatching, and long walks are evident in the design of and facilities at Savista, and I welcome you to join me in enjoying these simple pleasures.
