My place is close to Middle Bay with the fine beach called Sand Bay right behind the house. There is the bus station down the street, the fisheries are down at the bay, the Douglas-Charles Airport DOM, (former Melville Hall Airport) is fifteen minutes away by car. There are several shops, the post office, the hospital, and the police station. You’ll love my place, the residence of the Sylvester's Family of Marigot, because of the nice atmosphere, the short walk to the beach, and the comfy bed.
My place, the residence of the Sylvester's Family of Marigot, Dominica, is called “My Father’s Place”. It is close to Middle Bay, the sandy beach "Sand Bay", the bus station, the fisheries, the Douglas-Charles Airport DOM, (former Melville Hall Airport), several shops, the post office, the hospital, and the police station. You’ll love my place because of the nice atmosphere, the short walk to the beach, the large living-room with the shady balcony, and the comfy bed in the big sleeping room.
The family house is about seventy years old. It was built with strong wood from the forest, called Moon wood, which has been cut at the falling moon. The main house has the ambience of an old-fashioned wooden house. New parts were adjoined. Now, there is a spacious, open living-room which contains the lounge, and a library. All the rooms have wireless Internet access, which makes your stay very enjoyable. There are ceiling fans and other fans, plus a cool breze from the near ocean.
The bungalows are placed around a vast yard. There is an outdoor kitchen, a restaurant area, a bar, and a stage. Mary is a singer, and sometimes there is a party, a wedding, or another event. The grounds are fenced for your security, and although the bus stop is only a few steps away, you feel like you are in another world.
You have access to the entire enclosed area, the courtyard, the restaurant area and the bar, and the lobby in the main house. Outside the gate, there are the parking spaces. There are two paths to the beach, one is shorter and somewhat steep, the other is longer and equipped with a comfortable staircase.
I leave my guests their free space, but I am available for questions.
